Mole, the Mac cleaning tool that can free up tens of GBs in one go, just got a new release, codename Velvet ✨
github.com/tw93/Mole
Here’s what’s new:
· mo uninstall: much faster app list loading, / filter + Ctrl+U, Homebrew cask uninstall now uses --zap, better leftover detection for Raycast, Zed, and Maestro, clearer failure diagnostics.
· mo clean: orphaned LaunchAgent cleanup, safer matching and counting, better scan performance, Gradle cache protected by default.
· mo analyze: fewer NFS-related hangs, better cache reuse and stale-first fast paint, deadlock fix for high fan-out scans.
· mo status: smarter proxy detection across env + system settings, with better tunnel awareness.
· mo purge / mo optimize / launcher scripts: more stable scan fallback, cleaner terminal behavior, better Raycast + Ghostty compatibility.
Also includes a bunch of reliability work under the hood: stronger safety checks, cleaner diagnostics, and expanded regression coverage.
